The design by students Siri El-Hawari and Annika Jankowski was created in a seminar at the Institute of Design and Construction, Prof. Michael Schumacher under the direction of Christian Eickelberg and Michael-Marcus Vogt and was selected by the LaGa in 2021 for implementation as an exhibition pavilion for the regions of Lower Saxony.
Until the opening of the State Horticultural Show 2023, we simulated a planning office with the students for the implementation planning, tendering and cost tracking, organized sponsors and companies and erected the walls of the pavilion itself in a workshop on site as a team.
For the walls, a plug-in system was developed that enables assembly and disassembly without fasteners in a doityourself construction method. At the same time, the pavilion shape is characterized by the geometry of the joint and the color change of the two-colored wall components (white/copper).
We would like to thank all those involved, whose commitment made it possible to realize this baukoBAUT project, and we look forward to the users at the Landsgartenschau filling it with life until October.
